Never exist, always live a balanced life!

Sometimes we catch ourselves just existing in life. You know~ work, cleaning, cooking and putting out fires.

Sometimes we need to stop and balance our everyday life with "a little something". A little something different, out of the ordinary, to enjoy and smile.

Think about it! What "little something" would YOU like to pop into your week?

Would it be a romantic?

Something adventurous like reaching new heights?

Or would it be something pretty to your eyes

I am doing something Thursday that I have never done...........Doesn't take a lot of money or stress. Not traveling out of town! Just a "little something"

Join me Friday to see all the goodies and adventures!

But I want to know now, .........
What "little something" would bring a smile to your beautiful face??( It can't cost lots of money or take a lot of planning.) Do tell!

See Ya soon!

The Rain and the Rest of the Story

Today has been a full circle of life.
This morning I relaxed while enjoying the miracle of rain. I shared this with you, now for the rest of the story......

This afternoon, I attended distribution of the ashes of one life.

He was a member of our family. He was a vietnam vet who never got over that experience. He fought those demons for over 40 years however the nightmares continued up to his massive heartattack. He tried to join back in but couldn't quite fit in.

He couldn't fit into the world and that is how he left it. Alone on his front porch....quickly....no warning......in the blink of any eye.

He is a reminder that the boys, who go to stand for and protect all americans, pay a very high price. Let's never doubt that!

He had specificly asked to be given back to the mountains. He has been.....

The mountain creeks flow so clearly, so beautifully, so peacefully. The trees are green giants that quietly cover the flowing waters. The various creekbed plants provide cushion to the wildelife that drink from the creek waters.

So it was the green giants, the creek side plants, the wildlife and a few humans that showed respect to this lost soul that is finally at peace. At peace, in the flowing creek waters that flow from the mountaintops. Waters that contain rain from this morning's storm.

I am glad I stopped to smell the rain!

BW rest in peace! What a beautiful sunset you are enjoying!

Do you remember the smell of rain?

Sometimes We get so busy and wrapped up in our lives that we forget the little things. The little things like....

When was the last time you stopped to smell the rain?

Taking the time to enjoy the smell, look and even sounds of rain can rejuvenate us, Not raining? Maybe your pleasure today may be feeling the breeze blow against your face.

I know we always have something we need to do! But don’t forget the task of taking care of yourself.( While connecting and remembering the earth and it’s wonders.) Only 5 or 10 minutes a day will bring you back to YOU! The you without stress, worries or everyday problems.

Make this a habit. Write on a sticky note to take “your minutes” This will make a difference in you in 10 minutes and more so in a few weeks.

***********

After you have established "your minutes" habit, teach the life secret to someone else!

Why not share some of your “ minutes” with your child, to create a memory that will last their lifetime. Show them that they are important enough to spend those moments with you. (without phones, tv, work, responsibilities!) They will also realize that both of you are fun to be with.

It doesn’t cost you a cent but the return is tremendous!

What are you going to do during “Your Minutes”?
