- A western North Carolina Mountain Family since the 1800s. I live with my husband (mountain grown too) in the moutains, our 6 grown children and their familes, live in the mountains and afar. My ancestors were know as storytellers from the 1800s and I have the thrill in my blood too. I am blessed to have many of the family stories passed down from then to now.
